Q: What rights does a performer have?
A: Under the Copyright Act, a performer has the right to:
• broadcast his performance except where the broadcast is made from a fixation of the performance authorized by the performer.
Q: What are the Rights held by PRISK on behalf of its members?
A: PRISK's mandate is to collect license fees from users who broadcast or communicate sound recordings to the public.
SR - Charged for use of sound recordings
AV - Charged for use of audiovisual works
KAMP PRISK tariffs are exclusive of VAT and are subject to a yearly increase based upon the Consumer Price Index. Amounts are in Kenya Shilling (Kshs) per annum.
